As a Child and Adolescent Therapist and Counselor, I have worked with children and teens for over twenty years and have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 2001.
I have helped children, teens and their families deal with anger, defiance, teasing and bullying parenting, anxiety and mood disorders, AD/HD, learning disabilities, disruptive behaviors, grief, loss, trauma, parent-child conflict, divorce, Asperger syndrome, schizophrenia, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.
I spent over eighteen years working in K-8 schools in several districts in California and worked with children and their families, individually and in groups. I learned how schools work and how to help them to help your child.
As part of my clinical work, I collaborate with a variety of mental health providers, such as local psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, behavior specialists and in-school professionals. I have also worked with numerous related service agencies, including local school districts, the Department of Mental Health, and Child Protective Services.
I also offer counseling and therapy for adults and couples. See www.larrygoodmanmft.info for more information.
